Al told us that one of the best reasons to work out on a regular basis is to, "get moving in the morning." Al takes pride in being proactive with regard to his health. Outside of East Hills Recreations, Al stays active by gardening, working around the house, and fishing with his grandchildren. He states that, "prevention of diabetes and lowering blood pressure are two of the best reasons to have an active lifestyle."
Al states that, "The staff at East Hills Recreation is friendly and it is a great place to meet new people and renew old acquaintances." Al went on to say that "we as a society can lower healthcare costs and improve our quality of life if we would get off the couch and become more active."

SilverSneakers
Classes especially designed for SilverSneakers members are held each week, at no cost to these members. Designed for Medicare-eligible individuals, also enrolled in Security Blue, Freedom Blue, or Medigap Blue, these classes are for developing strength and conditioning while easy on your joints and appropriate for individuals who regularly exercise, as well as those who may not have exercised in years. Classes are available in SilverSneakers I, SilverSneakers II, & YogaStretch and are held several times per week at various times so everyone can fit these classes into their "busy" schedules.
