This course is designed for people with little or no medical background. Participants are instructed in the recognition of signs of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), heart attack, stroke, and foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). Participants will also learn how to perform the Heimlich maneuver, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); and defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED). Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive a valid AHA CPR card good for two years.

Registration for this recreational volleyball league is taken on a team basis. Captains pay a $30 team fee* to secure their place in the league. Upon registration, captains must indicate their team name, and will receive rosters to be completed and returned prior to the beginning of the season. Minimum age for participation, however, no high school players are permitted. Captains will receive schedules and rules prior to the first evening of play and are responsible for notifying their teammates as to the time of their games for the first night (all other players will receive schedules at the first game).
* Captains will receive a refund on the team fee only if all team members are paid in full before September 23.
